"WhatsApp" Animated Stickers

The facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp finally got support for animated stickers
for the users on all devices , i.e. iOS, Android and Windows. In recent Update Whatsapp introduce its user of Animated Stickers that other IM (Instant Messaging) apps like Telegram got much early.

The feature briefly showed up on WhatsApp beta for both Android version 2.20.194.7, as well as on iOS version 2.20.70.26, but then quickly disappeared in the next version.

However, this time the company has announced the update officially on Twitter, so it will certainly be in the hands of users very soon.

To access the animated stickers, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the stickers pane.
  2. Click on the plus (+) sign to go to the stickers download tab.
  3. Download the sticker packs with a play button (▶️) next to them.

The sticker packs cannot be accessed on the WhatsApp web and desktop yet. Hence, you have to download the animated sticker pack on your phone to use them on your computer.

Moreover, the stickers don’t loop like on Telegram or Facebook Messenger, neither are they activated by taping. So, you have to scroll to activate them, something that will probably be fixed in a future update.

Currently, the sticker packs are pretty limited. However, this will change after WhatsApp rolls out support for third-party developers to make and add their own sticker packs to WhatsApp.

How to uninstall Microsoft Edge forced-installed in Latest Build Windows

How to uninstall Microsoft Edge forced-installed in Latest Build Windows

Edge

If Microsoft Edge was installed in Windows 10 via Windows Update, you can not remove it via standard methods. That does not mean you cannot remove it, though, as a technique has been discovered to uninstall the program via the command prompt.

In May, the Microsoft Edge would roll out to Windows 10 2004 machines through the KB4559309 update installed via Windows Update.

For those who do not want Microsoft Edge installed via the update, you can uninstall it manually via the command, as discovered by Deskmodder.de.

To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. Open an elevated command prompt (Run as Administrator) by typing CMD in the Start Menu search field, right-clicking on Command Prompt when shown, and selecting 'Run as administrator.'
  2. Now use the CD command to change to the folder associated with the latest version of Microsoft Edge that was installed. This folder is located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\[version].

For example, if  Edge 83.0.478.58 is installed, you would use the following command:
    cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\83.0.478.58\
  3. When you are in the Edge folder, type the following command to uninstall the new Microsoft Edge and reinstall Edge Classic.
    setup.exe --uninstall --system-level --verbose-logging --force-uninstall
Uninstall Edge via command line
  1. You can now close the command prompt by typing exit and pressing enter.

Once Microsoft Edge is uninstalled, you will now have access to Edge Classic.

Note:- for Users who just install new windows and wanna uninstall Edge (non-chromium) you can download this  (uninstall_edge).zip file and run "Uinstall Edge.cmd" as "Admin", after some processing just restart your system and its gone.

If you do not wish the Edge update to install automatically again, you can manually download and install Microsoft Edge.

Apple's iOS 14

iOS 14 Overview

Apple in June 2020 introduced the latest version of its iOS operating system, iOS 14, which is set to be released this fall. iOS 14 is one of Apple's biggest iOS updates to date, introducing Home screen design changes, major new features, updates for existing apps, Siri improvements, and many other tweaks that streamline the iOS interface.

First and foremost, iOS 14 brings a redesigned Home screen that includes support for widgets for the first time. Widgets can be dragged from the Today view right onto the Home screen, and can be pinned in different sizes.

With a Smart Stack feature, the iPhone can use on-device intelligence to surface the right widget based on time, location, and activity. Each Home screen page can display widgets customized for work, travel, sports, and more. The Today section where widgets are housed has also been redesigned, and there's a widgets gallery where users can choose new widgets from apps and customize those widgets.

Swiping all the way to the end of the app pages on an iPhone opens the new App Library, which is an interface that shows all of the apps on your iPhone to see everything at a glance. Apps are organized into your folder system, but there are also Apple-created folders like Suggestions and Apple Arcade that intelligently surface apps. New app downloads can be added to your Home screen or kept in the App Library to keep your Home screen cleaner.

Key Features and Enhancements:

1- Widgets:

Widgets for everything

Redesigned Apple widgets for Weather, Clock, Calendar, News, Notes, Maps, Fitness, Photos, Reminders, Stocks, Music, Podcasts, Tips, Batteries, Screen Time, Files, Siri Suggestions, Shortcuts, and App Suggestions.

Widgets on the Home Screen

Place widgets anywhere on the Home Screen for information at a glance. Perfect for tracking your commute, activity, Calendar events, or News stories.

Siri Suggestions widget

The Siri Suggestions widget uses on-device intelligence to show actions you might take based on your usage patterns, such as ordering a coffee or starting a podcast. Tap the suggestion to perform the action without launching the app.

Developer API

Developers can create their own widgets using a new API that lets them take advantage of the redesigned widgets, including the ability to put them on the Home Screen and show them at the right time.

Automatic categorization

All of the apps on your iPhone are automatically sorted into categories such as Social, Productivity, and Entertainment. Categories intelligently reorder based on app use.

Recently Added

App Clips that were recently launched and apps downloaded from the App Store appear in the App Library, making them easy to find.

Search

Use the search bar at the top of the App Library to quickly find the app you’re looking for. When you tap Search, apps can be displayed alphabetically, making them easy to scroll through and find.

3- Compact UI

Phone calls

When you receive a call, it appears as a banner instead of taking over the entire screen, so you won’t lose track of what you’re doing. Swipe up on the banner to dismiss it or swipe down to access extended phone features and tap to answer.

Third-party VoIP calls

A developer API is available so that apps like Skype can support compact incoming calls.

FaceTime calls

When you receive a FaceTime call, it appears as a banner instead of taking over the entire screen. Swipe up on the banner to dismiss it or swipe down to access extended FaceTime features.

Picture in Picture

You can now continue watching a video or taking a FaceTime call while you use another app. Perfect for having a video call with a friend while you find a time to meet or catching up on a TV show while checking your email.

Resize Picture in Picture window

You can resize the Picture in Picture window by pinching the video to make it bigger or smaller.

Move Picture in Picture window to any corner

Put the video window in any corner of the screen by simply dragging it.

Minimize Picture in Picture window offscreen

Minimize the video window by moving it offscreen, giving you full access to an app while continuing to listen to the audio.

Simply tap your door handle to unlock your car with NFC.

Start your car

You can start your vehicle by placing your iPhone on a reader or wireless charger inside the car.

Share with Messages

Adding car keys to Wallet enables capabilities beyond those of physical keys. Sharing keys with friends or family is easy with Messages.

Set car key types

You can set keys to Unlock and Drive to have full access to your car. Or you can choose Restricted Driving, enabling them to unlock and start the car, but with limits that can affect acceleration, top speed, traction control, and even stereo volume — perfect for your teen driver.

Remove key access

As easily as you share keys, you can take them back, giving you the flexibility to let a friend borrow your car for the weekend.

Power reserve

Even when your iPhone battery runs low, you’ll be able to access and start your vehicle for up to five hours. You can leave your physical keys at home, knowing that you can depend on iPhone even after a long day of hiking or a night on the town.

Privacy information on the App Store

A new section on each product page on the App Store helps you see a summary of the privacy practices of the app before you download it.15 Developers self-report their privacy practices, including data collected by the developer and used to track you across companies, in a simple, easy-to-read format.

App tracking controls and transparency

Developers are now required to get your permission before tracking you. See which apps you have given permission to track in Settings so you can change your preferences.

Approximate location

A new setting lets you choose to share your approximate location, rather than your precise location, with an app.

Limited Photos library access

You can choose to share only selected items with a developer who asks for access to your photos, or you can give access to your entire library.

Recording indicator

iOS displays an indicator whenever an app is using the mic or camera, both in the app and in Control Center.

Upgrade to Sign in with Apple

Developers can offer the option to upgrade existing app accounts to Sign in with Apple so users can enjoy improved privacy, security, and ease of use without setting up a new account.
