Payee lake or Siri Payee lake is situated in the centre of meadow in Payee near Shogran in Kaghan Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the province of Pakistan. This lake is surrounded by vast meadows. It is located at a height of almost 2,895 metres. Payee lake is just 6 km away from Shogran, a jeep ride, hiking or horse ride can take you to the beautiful meadows.

1. Saiful Maluk Lake

 

 

Saiful Muluk is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley, the famous tourist destination of Pakistan, near the town of Naran in the Saiful Muluk National Park. It is located at an elevation of 3,224 m above sea level. The lake is located above the tree line and is one of the highest lakes in Pakistan.

 

There are many types of species that existed in this lake. This includes blue-green algae, brown trout, around 26 species of vascular plants and many more. The Lake Saiful Muluk is named after a legendary prince. A fairy tale called Saif-ul-Muluk, written by the Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh talks of the lake. It tells the story of the prince of Persia named Prince Saiful Malook who fell in love with a fairy princess named Princess Badri-ul-Jamala at the lake. People said there lived fairies and who he saw them fell in their love.
