Samsung to maintain number one spot as top mobile phone manufacturer
According to reports Samsung Electronics will likely strengthen its command over global smartphone market next year, capitalizing on the misfortune of Chinese rival Huawei Technologies under multiple sanctions by the U.S. government, a report projected.
Amidst the declining smartphone sales, Samsung once again stands out with solid smartphone sales ahead of the pack. It is projected that the company will finish off the year with a total of 265.5 million smartphone shipments taking 21% market share, followed by Huawei with 192.7 million sales surpassing Apple by just a little, which in turn will sell 190.1 million units and take 15.3% of the market.
With economic recovery and a durable switch to 5G and foldable phones, market growth will surpass 9 percent next year, and the 2019 level (1.41 billion units) will be recovered in 2022, the report said.
According to report Samsung will remain on top and Apple and other chinese brands will replace the flagship models of Huawei.
And the sales of Huawei is expected to decline further.

Market research firm Strategy Analytics (SA) said in its latest quarterly report on Sunday projected global smartphone shipment to fall about 11 percent on year to 1.26 billion units this year. The revised forecast has been eased from earlier projection of a decline of 15.6 percent. SA said the new estimation is reflective of a higher-than-expected recovery rate in demand from the U.S., Europe and India plus new market stimulus amid the growing trends of working from home and learning at home.
