Russian President Putin order the changes in Constitution that will Allow him in power till 2036

 

 

The move by longtime president comes after the voter approved changes.

 

Amendment in constitution is ordered by President Vladimir Putin after the voters approved the changes during a week-long plebiscite.

 

These changes in constitution will allow President Vladimir Putin to remain in power until 2036.

According to Russian Government the amendments in constitution come into force on Friday, July 3, 2020.

 

Putin after signing a decree that changes the constitution said

 

"The amendments come into force. They come into force, without overstating it, at the people's will,"

 

In a video conference Putin also said

 

"We made this important decisions together, as a country,"

 

The new constitutional changes will allow President Vladimir Putin to run for two more six-year terms after his current term will expire in 2024.
